It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fernand Maurice Guy Robidoux, age 74, on July 25, 2024.
Dad was born and raised on the family farm in St-Pierre Jolys surrounded by family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Thérèse (née Ruest); and brothers and sisters, Alice, Lionel, Omer, Joseph; and Édouard and in-laws, Roland and Agnès (née Collette) Lussier, and brother-in-law Guy. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years Noëlla (née Lussier); and children, Danielle (Philip), Michelle (Ray), Patrick (Lynne), Paul (Kathryn); as well as his grandchildren, Matthieu, Zachary, Julianne, Rémi, Émilie, Maxim and bébé Robidoux (August 2024).
Dad was a loyal, hard-working, fun-loving man who always made sure everyone felt welcome at home. He spent many years working on the family farm, at Umingmak Supply, and BLCS where he made many life long friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, share his knowledge and let his kids use the "Fern Depot". His later years were spent travelling and enjoying his grandkid's sports and activities. He loved spending time with his family hosting gatherings full of song, jokes, good food and sharing family traditions.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care team as well as Dr. Schaeffer and Kyla from the Heart Function Centre at the Saint-Boniface Hospital for their exceptional care.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St-Eugène Church. Please feel free to wear a Hawaiian shirt or bright colours to help us celebrate Dad’s life.

So sorry to hear about Fern’s passing. I worked with Fern at Umingmak many years ago but remember him as a wonderful person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was funny always cheerful and always talked about his family in such a loving way. My deepest sympathies to Noella and his family. Nous aimerions exprimer nos sincères condoléances à la grande famille Robi doux ainsi qu'à Jeanne Therrien notre belle-soeur et René Robidoux son frère. Fernand s'est tellement dévoué a la Fondation du coeur surtout pour ceux qui souffraient de déficience cardiaque. Nous sommes confiant que ceci ne sera jamais oublié. Malheureusement nous n'avons pu assister aux funérailles mais voulions vous exprimer nos pensées dans ce moment difficile de vos vie et que Dieu vous garde. So very sorry to see that Fern passed away! I met Fern many years ago as a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society's April community canvass. I remember him as a dear soul now gone too soon. Chère Noella et famille, Sincères condoléances à toutes la famille Robidoux. Nous étions cousins proches car nos parents se fréquentaient souvent et je suis allée à l’école avec Fernand. Quel beau jeune homme gentil et respecté pas tous. Fernand adorait la musique. Surtout Les Beatles et quand l’album, “Hey Jude “, est sortie, il était un des premiers des amis à l’acheter. Partout où il était invité il apportait sa collection d'albums de Beatles pour que tous en jouissent. De plus il connaissait tout les “steps” à n’importe quelles danses et nous les enseignait.
