It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mildred Schroeder at the age of 100. Mildred was born on June 17, 1924, and lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and church community.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David "Doc" Schroeder. Mildred is survived by her cherished children: Dorothy (Don Sugimoto), Lynette (Ernie Wiebe), and Alan (Ruth Schroeder). She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, a devoted friend, and a pillar of strength to all who knew her.
A funeral service to honor Mildred's life will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Charleswood Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Charleswood Mennonite Church, a place that held a special place in Mildred's heart.
Mildred's legacy of kindness, generosity, and faith will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her. She will be dearly missed.

Having been close friends with Ernie & Lynette for more than 50 years, we often visited their home, and that meant - for many years also Doc and Mildred Schroeder’s home and the rest of the family. And after Doc’s passing and until recent years, Mildred’s home. Mildred was always kind, and welcoming. And we considered all of the family as our chosen family.
