JESSE STEPHEN MEUSH

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the accidental passing of our beloved son, Jesse, at the age of 33.

Jesse is survived by his parents Stephen and Marianne Meush and his two siblings Julian and Melissa Meush, his grandmothers Rozalia Plesko and Lillian Meush and many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by his cousin Adam DeBusshere, and his grandfather Julian Meush.

Jesse was born on May 15, 1991. He was a gentle, sensitive, loving child who loved playing with his siblings Melissa and Julian while growing up, and spending time with his family at the cottage, camping, and sailing on Lake Winnipeg.

He attended Laura Secord elementary school in Wolseley and completed the French Immersion program at Churchill High School in Riverview. Upon graduation in 2009, he joined the Katimavik program, where he spent six months doing community service across Canada - which he absolutely loved!

Following that, Jesse spent a couple of years at University of Winnipeg taking communications and conflict resolution but unfortunately, he was unable to complete the program.

Jesse was a creative soul and enjoyed creating art, making music, and skateboarding. Eventually, Jesse's love of music led him to take the Sound Engineering program at Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts (MOSMA), were he completed the program in 2022. Jesse went on to freelance in the media arts industry, making many friends and acquaintances.

He was passionate about advancing the local Hip Hop music scene and loved nothing more than going to a live event. He enjoyed promoting local up and coming artists and rejoiced in their accomplishments regardless how small.

Our hearts are shattered beyond measure in losing him, but we take solace in knowing that his earthly sorrows are behind him and he's with the good Lord surrounded by love and light.

We invite you to join us for his funeral and Celebration of Life at St. Charles Catholic Church on Friday, August 16, at 3:00 p.m. Following the funeral there will be a light luncheon in the Parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take in a local show and think of him fondly while you enjoy the live music.
