With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Alan Anderson, on August 21, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Alan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 15, 1952. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Gray) and Bertil Anderson; his brothers, James (Jim) and Kenneth Anderson; and his partner Jo-Anne Olafson.

Alan worked as a Quality Control Inspector at Phillips and Temro Industries for over 38 years. He made many great friends who he kept in touch with after retirement.

Alan loved taking long road trips with his partner Jo-Anne across Canada, the United States and Mexico. He also loved visiting his cousin Brenda (Barry) in Ontario. He enjoyed playing pool and going to the park with Matthew. He liked bowling with Tara, having coffee and attending his grandchildren’s baseball games. He enjoyed working on cars with his friends and tinkering with tractors and quads. He also loved quadding with Jo-Anne.

Alan will be terribly missed by his children, Tara (Cam) and Matthew (Aimee); stepchildren, Cynthia (Fidelio) and David (Erin); grandchildren, Paige and Everett (Tara), Wil (Cheryl), Christy (Kyle), Zoë (Mario), Elyssa, Kianna, Ada; nieces and nephews; he will also be missed by his special friend Amancia, along with many other friends and family.

  • Al was like our brother. We all grew up together. He lived on the street next door. He and my brother John were inseparable. Al would be over every day, hanging out. He liked to bring over his white rat inside his jacket. He and Jo-Anne were good family friends and we always kept in touch. So sad loosing Jo-Anne and now Al too. We would like to attend any service, but dont have phone #. Please contact us. Liz and Rose Kitzul - Posted by: Liz Kitzul (Life long friend) on: Sep 14, 2024
