On the evening of August 22, 2024, our dear Brenda left peacefully to reunite with her loved ones already in heaven.
Brenda was born June 2, 1945, in Winnipeg to Bernard (Barney) and Rhoma LeBeau. She attended Balmoral Hall School for Girls, and graduated from the University of Manitoba. She went on to teach fifth grade before marrying and moving to Toronto for a few years.
In her youth Brenda was an accomplished skater, and also earned several junior riflery awards over summer breaks. She was an enthusiastic member of The Winnipeg Jaycettes, the Penthouse Club, her bridge club, her bowling team and the boating community. She was a world traveller and an excellent photographer. Brenda also modelled and posed for many catalogues and fashion shows, which worked out well as she loved fashion. She had a legendary wardrobe, each piece unique or a work of art or whimsey.
Brenda was a champion for anything on four legs or had wings, so much so that many visitors to her garden were named. Her devotion to her pets was unwavering, and she had many: Copper, Beau, Dosey, Bibs, Dandelion, 8 Ball and Daisy.
When she and Hal married in 1981 they found each other's kindred spirits, and they set out to create the life they succeeded in living. Theirs was a home of love and laughter and activity. Brenda lived the full life she had hoped for and was surrounded by those she loved and who loved her.
She will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Stewart, and Hal in 2022.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Ken Hardy (Donna), Cheryl Dallas (Clay), and grandchildren, Lucas (Kaitlin) and Julia Hardy, Brian Haines (Char), Cole and Kate Dallas.
A private family interment will be held at a later date at Thomson In The Park.

Will miss our phone conversations with Brenda. Although we live in different provinces, we tried to stay in touch by phone. Neil and I will both miss our visits with Brenda and Hal. They were very special people in our lives. So sorry to see this news. I got to know Brenda through my business where she bought all her birdseed to feed her garden friends. We had many beautiful conversations over the years about the birds and butterflies and her dear squirrel Ruby(haha). It was lovely to have known her and I’m sure she is resting peacefully in a garden filled with all critters she adored. Rest well Brenda. - Posted by: Sherrie Versluis (Business) on: Aug 31, 2024

Brenda and I taught at Central School in Transcona during our first year of teaching. We drove to school together in her white Cadillac convertible. I have fond memories of our time together. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Dorothy Young (Friend and colleague ) on: Aug 31, 2024
