DAWN LOUISE KOSTYSHYN

May 26, 1964 - September 4, 2024

In loving memory of our cherished daughter, sister, auntie and wife, Dawn Kostyshyn, who passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

Dawn was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on May 26, 1964, to Morris and Mercy Kostyshyn.

Dawn was a tomboy at heart and had a wanderlust soul, forever seeking new horizons and experiences. Dawn loved to travel to warm and sunny beach locations and enjoyed participating in many outdoor and sports activities.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Paul Cormier, mother Mercy Kostyshyn, her sisters, Karen (Jeff) Greggain, Brenda (Ron Markwick) McGimpsey, and her nephews, Rob McGimpsey and Zachary Greggain. She was predeceased by her father Morris Kostyshyn in 2004.

In life we loved you dearly

In death we love you still

In our hearts you hold

A place no one else will ever fill.

Vichnaya Pam'yat

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. If you so wish, contributions can be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation in Dawn's honour.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • So sorry to hear of Dawn’s passing, remember all your good times. Hugs to all Dawn’s family. - Posted by: Shirle McGimpsey (Friends) on: Sep 14, 2024

  • I'm sorry to learn of Dawn's passing. We were elementary school classmates at the "old school" in Ethelbert, I believe into Grade 4 before she moved away. It's a long time ago now, but I remember Dawn being very bubbly and energetic and always smiling. My condolences to her family. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Bradley Pisiak (elementary school classmate) on: Sep 14, 2024
