PIERRE "PETER" FOUBERT

February 24, 1938 – September 15, 2024

Peacefully surrounded by his family, Pierre "Peter" Emile Foubert passed away on September 15 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 86.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Germaine "Gerry"; children, Melanie and Wayne; brother Arthur; numerous sisters-and-brothers-in-law; nephews, nieces and cousins in the Foubert and Saltel families.

Peter was born in Zottegem, Belgium in 1938, the second child of Emile Foubert and Anna Vandriessche. He immigrated to Canada with his father, brothers, uncle and his family in 1948, where they settled on a farm in the Ste. Genevieve area. They all predeceased him.

Pierre was a hardworking man and life-long dairy and beef farmer, having enjoyed being on the land and working with the animals he had over the years. He enjoyed a good joke, drink, music, and dance. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Concordia Hospital who took care of Pierre in his final days.

Memorial gathering will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Canad Inns Destination Centre Club Regent – Grand Ambassador. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a charity of your choice.
