PATRICIA GAIL PICKLYK
It is with great sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Patricia (Patsy) Gail Picklyk (nee Wishnowski) on Friday, September 20, 2024.
Patsy was predeceased by her parents, Nickolas and Mary, and her brothers, Kenneth and Michael. Left to cherish her memory is son Bradley (Elena); grandchildren, Emily and Ethan; brother Brian; sister Marianne; and many others.
Her greatest joy in life was being Baba to Emily and Ethan. She loved them dearly and cherished spending time with them, even if it was merely via FaceTime.

I've known Pat since grade 7 at Aberdeen School & from Alfred Ave. So, I guess that's 50 yrs. We used to play volleyball & baseball together. Meet at William Whyte to play volleyball too. In 2012, when I moved to Carriage House, who is standing in the hall, well its Pat. What a surprise! We would always bump into each other in the managers office or card room where she was playing cribbage. We have karaoke in the building and Pat & I sat but never got up to sing but would change the words in the songs. She would make me laugh & I made her laugh when we sang quietly OUR version of the songs. I will miss her, my friend of 50 yrs. RIP Pat till we can sing OUR songs again & laugh like crazy. Patsy and I go back a very long ways. About 40 yrs or more. We had many many good times. Laughed till we cried. Capers that we pulled and sad times when we cried together. I will miss Patsy so much. Brad, Elena, Emily and Ethan you were so lucky to have had her in your life. She loved you so much and missed you so much. She leaves a big empty space in my life. Love you Patsy and miss you.๐๐ - Posted by: Lynn Klan (Best friend ) on: Sep 28, 2024

I worked with Pat for many years & she always made me laugh. She had a special way about her, and I admired her honesty, ferocity, and humor. It always brightened my day to talk to her. Sorry to learn of her passing. - Posted by: Kate (colleague) on: Sep 28, 2024

Thinking back to the old days on Alfred Avenue, when our whole world was Winnipegs' North End. Patsy was hilariously funny and we had such fun together. Many happy memories to cherish. Love Elizabeth - Posted by: Elizabeth Coleman (Friend) on: Sep 26, 2024

My condolences Brad, on the loss of your Mom and to Elena as well. To Ethan and Emily on the loss of their Baba - Patsy spoke often and proudly of you all. She adored her grandchildren and sung their praises often. Thank you for including me in gathering in honour of Patsy's memory. This last year and a half was very challenging for Patsy and she met each day head on with courage. She will be missed. - Posted by: Marianne Wishnowski (Sister) on: Sep 26, 2024

Dear Brad & Family, So sorry for your loss. Your Mom, Lynn and I sure go way back. I enjoyed her visits at the Co-op office. We always had lots to talk "gossip" about. We knew so many of the same people. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Pat Shymko (Friend) on: Sep 26, 2024
