Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB (JAKE) HILDEBRAND
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jake Hildebrand. The man who always had a sparkle in his blue eyes, lived life surrounded by love and laughter.
Nothing made Jake happier than the comfort he found in his wife of 57 years, Aggie, his children Tammy (Ted) Jason (Angela) and his grandchildren Brittany, Tad, Matthew, and Emily. Jake was a generous friend, who was always willing to help others. He had a tool for every job, and he could build or fix almost anything. So many family, friends and neighbours in his hometown of La Salle, MB, and beyond, are left grieving this loss.
The family would like to thank the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre for the care provided in these past weeks.
No funeral service is planned at this time. A longer obituary will follow.

I never met Jake but we are 2nd cousins. Guess I was born May 3, 1945. Almost twins. My father was Isaac Hildebrand from Morden 1-6 district. You can see he's related to our family. Looks like my dad. Sorry to hear about his passing. A special father and grandfather I'm sure he was. Would of liked to meet him. Met Jake through my niece. Jake was a very, interesting person to talk with, as you could draw upon his many experiences and apply some of them to your own life. Jake was quite the handyman, as he built marvelous homes with his gifted, carpentry skills. Jake wore many hats and served those endeavours well. A fantastic person to converse with and he would help anyone. Enjoyed Jake's company and will miss talking with him. Condolences to all of the family. - Posted by: Randy Fisher (Family friend ) on: Sep 28, 2024

I worked at the River Inn as a server previously, and the best part of my day was Jake and his friend (the friend's name eludes me at this moment) coming in every morning for coffee. They always arrived right at opening (so there wouldn't be anyone else around) and I would pull up a chair and have my morning coffee with them. Over time I had heard all of the best stories from his life and shared many many laughs. Jake would light up any room he walked into. Was always kind, good hearted, well spoken, and full of the best kind of humor. He will be missed by many, my deepest condolences to the family. - Posted by: Amber Hartley (Friend) on: Sep 28, 2024
