It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Rita Mary Courchene, our mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunty, respected elder and friend, on October 6, 2024, at the age of 79 years.
Rita will be reunited in the spirit world with her loving husband Harold and baby boy Lance, parents, Willie P. and Dora and many more cherished family members. She will be missed by her daughters, Roxanne, Alicia, Myra and son Nathan; grandchildren, Candace (Donnie), Dale, Lance, Tristan (Melody), Seth, Marcus and Courtney; great and great-great-grandchildren; surviving brother and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Traditional wake service is being held at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church Hall, Sagkeeng, MB, October 9 to 11, 2024; funeral service will follow in the church at the on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with final viewing at 1:00 p.m. Interment at a later date.
