Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSEMARY ANNE LIDSTER
Peacefully on September 19, 2024 Rosemary passed away in Kelowna, BC.
She was predeceased by her partner Brent, parents Holmes and Bertha, and brother Michael. She is survived by her sister-in-law Joan (nee Wynne), nephews Craig (Cheryl), Geoff (Kendra) and niece Shelly, great nieces and nephews Abigail, Rebecca, Kaila, Sydney, Mylie, Max and Rylie. All of whom she loved dearly.
Rosemary (Rosie) was born in Carman and grew up on a farm near Elm Creek before the family moved to Winnipeg in 1951 where they lived in St Vital. Rosie attended Success Business College and had a rewarding career with CN in Winnipeg. During retirement she enjoyed many summers in Dawson City, YT and winters in Yuma, AZ with her partner Brent before they made Kelowna, BC their home. She was a talented painter and enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, crocheting, floral arranging, baking and sewing. Rosie always enjoyed a splash of colour in her wardrobe and never said no to a trip to an antique shop or garage sale with Joan at the lake. Christmas and birthdays will never quite be the same as she always made us giggle with her quirky presents.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Sun Pointe Village - Reid’s Corner in Kelowna, BC for the exceptional care she received.
Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will be held at a later date.
