It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Katherine Ryzner after a brief illness on October 13, 2024, in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 78 years.
Kathy was born January 14, 1946, to Len and Beth Armit and raised in Alonsa. She completed her education in Winnipeg and remained there after marriage to Walter in 1966.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents, brother Rae (Marlene), and by her husband Walter in 2017. Survived by daughter Lee and son Jeffrey (Suzanne), sister Lynn (Julie), grandchildren, Keenan, Thade, Violet and Emma, Reid, and Liam. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Kathy worked the bulk of her career for the St. James School Division retiring in 2006. She was a history buff who loved indigenous stories, Scottish and country music, historical fiction and poetry. She loved spending time with family and friends.
There will be no service at this time as per her wishes.
