Patricia Margaret Vokey (nee Burns) born in Edmonton on May 17, 1954, passed away on November 4, 2024, after a brief but valiant fight against cancer with family by her side.
Pat is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bruce, her sons, Jason and Christopher (Shayla), granddaughters, Chita and Justyne, her sisters, Gayle (Bob), Joyce (Borys) and Janice (Gerry), her brothers-in-law, Don (Linda), W. Randy (Liz) and Mark (Sue), her aunt Nora, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, J. Clare and Laura and by her in-laws, Ray and Elizabeth (Bette).
Pat had a very varied working life starting at Hudson’s Bay in 1972 and retiring from Pollard Banknote Limited in 2019.
Per Pat's wishes there will be no Service or Celebration of Life. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Children's Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital Emergency Department for keeping Pat comfortable during the last hours of her life.
