Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Dear Eileen, Dave and I send our heartfelt condolences to you, Jim & your family. The few times I was lucky enough to be in your salon the same time as your Mom, it was FUN…and it was DOUBLE FUN when both your Mom & Dad were there. There were lots of chuckles and smiles with them both…they were a great ‘team’. When they weren’t there, you often had fun stories about their busy life. It was wonderful you were able to assist them with their big anniversary celebration…I know that was a memorable event for them, your family and their many friends who attended. How wonderful that was! It was obvious you had a great family bond and they were so proud of you.💕 Peace Be With You & Your Family. Much LOVE & BIG HUGS, Reena. - Posted by: Reena & Dave Normandale (Friends) on: Nov 15, 2024

  • Deepest sympathy to Fran's children. Fran was an exemplary person who offered help to everyone, volunteered at every opportunity, and opened her home to her family without question. She was kind, patient, and inclusive Fran reflected the same characteristics of her father Joe, a person who helped at church picnics with a smile on his face. I fully appreciate the support and friendship she shared with out Aunt Doris, always available to help Should be nominated for "Mother of the Year" Fran was "one of a kind". I always thought she should be nominated as "Mother of the Year". May she rest in peace and her legacy by cherished by those who knew her. - Posted by: helen miller (cousin) on: Nov 12, 2024

  • Can't you just see and hear the bridge game that is likely going on right now! I have so many fond memories of Fran. At times when I was very young I would stay with the Vannevel's when my parents (Vi and Len Kowalker) went away and it was such a treat! Fran was so youthful at heart, she related so well to kids. I fondly remember many Christmas Eves when the Vannevels would come over for drinks. I also remember just about any time I would go over to their house, Fran would be working on an assembly line of some ceramic item to be given away as a trophy for either a bowling or curling league. Her crafting of teddy bears for the telephone pioneers was done with love. Her zest for life was amazing. - Posted by: Paula Husmann (God Daughter) on: Nov 10, 2024

  • Fran was one of my mother's (Violet) close friends. We lived across the street when our families were very young. There are many warm memories of beach outings etc. over the years. Our condolences to Fran's family and Friends. - Posted by: Beverly Passey (Friend of family) on: Nov 09, 2024
