It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend David “Dave” Bruce Burnell. David encountered a tragic accident on October 1st, 2024, in which after a courageous fight succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB.
David is survived by his wife of 28 years, Margaret (Margie), son Jordan, daughter Erica (Travis), mother Jacqueline Burnell, Father Bruce Burnell, sister Alison (Calvin) Grysiuk, and brother Ryan Burnell. David had a large extended family with many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dave was a great friend of mine, we worked together for a 1.5/2 years. We became great friends in such a short amount of time. He was such a good person. Even after we stopped working together, we would check in with each other and send a text just to see how the other was doing. He always spoke so highly of his daughter and his son to me, and he was so proud of them both. He spoke very highly of Travis(his daughters boyfriend) as well, and told me he loved him as a second son. I will always have such fond memories of him, and I will never forget the laughs and inside jokes we shared. He was so thoughtful and such a great friend. I'm so shocked by this tragic loss. This hurt me quite a bit. I cant imagine how his family feels. I am deeply sorry for the whole family. I will make sure I attend the live funeral. Dave will be missed deeply.
