It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Anne Tanchak (née Zamrykut) at the age of 90, on the Feast of St. Josaphat, Patron Saint of Ukraine. She passed away at her residence in Brightwater Senior Living, surrounded by her loving son, Wesley. Over the years she endured extensive health issues with courage, resilience and grace, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion.
Parastas will be sung on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt St., Winnipeg, MB. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held Wednesday, November 20 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt St., Winnipeg, MB. Interment will be held at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Following the interment, the family wishes to invite everyone to join them for lunch and fellowship at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
