Donna Louise Smith (née Granger) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Born on July 4, 1949, Donna was known for her kind heart and sharp sense of humour and was a bright light in the lives of many. She was fiercely independent and extremely smart. A natural with numbers, Donna taught herself how to manage the accounting of a well-established local company, KVA Dynamo, where she worked for over 35 years. In retirement, Donna enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband Alan and could often be found cheering on her children and grandchildren in their many pursuits.
Donna's passing leaves a profound hole in the hearts of her numerous friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her husband Alan; daughters Rachel (Mark), Sabrina (Anthony), and Danielle (Richard); sister Karen (Randy), nieces Courtney (Mark) and Vanessa; and her cherished grandchildren Holly, Hudson, Soren, Talia, Scarlett, and R'Thello. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Freda Granger. Funeral services will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery on November 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Penny's All Breed Animal Rescue in Donna's name.

We only met Donna on a few occasions in recent years but we could see how happy cousin Alan and her were together, and we enjoyed those family visits very much. Deep Condolences to all of you in Donna's family and friends circle during this time of great loss and grief, and to you dear cousin Alan. We truly wish there would have been many more years with her in your lives, and our lives too. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to you all. Donna was a lovely, smart, and kind woman. She was always so kind to me when I would see her at B&B Dynamo, and was much respected by everyone in our family. She was such a good person.
