JACK PARKER
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Parker, beloved father, husband, teacher, and friend. Jack peacefully lost his courageous battle with Parkinson’s on December 12, 2024, in London, Ontario. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was the cherished husband of Catherine for 44 years. He was a devoted father to Jen, Christine, and Patti and a proud father-in-law to Jesse, Kristoffer and Jeremy. As a grandfather, Jack’s heart overflowed with love for his grandchildren: Harrison, Alexander, Kole, André, Josephine, and Violet. His family was his greatest joy, and his legacy of love will live on through them.
Jack will be deeply missed by his siblings, Elizabeth Wetherup, Diane and Vic Loewen, David and Elizabeth Parker. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Pat Parker, and Rob and Ruth Ross. His bond with his family was unwavering and he treasured the laughter, love, and memories they shared.
A man of deep faith, Jack lived a life rooted in kindness, compassion, and humility. A dedicated and inspiring Math Department Head and teacher at Sister High School, he had a gift for making even the most challenging lessons engaging. His students, colleagues, and community will forever remember his patience and passion for education.
Outside the classroom, Jack was a steadfast friend, avid golfer and lover of road trips. He was the ultimate family man, creating lasting memories on vacations and in everyday moments. His humour and selflessness will be remembered by all.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Chelsey Park Long-Term Care Home for their loving care during Jack’s final years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to Chelsey Park at Cpltcsocial@gmail.com.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held December 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Village Green Community Church, 505 Village Green Avenue, London, Ontario.

My condolences to the Parker Family. Mr. Parker or as I’ve come to know him (and many others) “Ned Flanders” wasn’t a teacher of mine during high school, but I did join the Christian student group that he started at Sisler. He helped me strengthen my Christian faith during my high school years. Looking back on it now and how the world is today. The students of Sisler we are very blessed to have a man of God like him in our school. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Eternal rest grant unto Jack Parker, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. - Posted by: Robert Garcia (Former Student) on: Apr 08, 2025

My deepest condolences to the Parker family. I was saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Parker. 27 years later, he was and always will be my favourite math teacher and I know that many share the same sentiment. Thank you for your patience and incredible teachings, Mr. Parker. You will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Kathy (Former student) on: Dec 27, 2024

Jack and I were elders at The Meeting Place. We became good friends. I have many fond memories of conversations Jack and I had. Jack was kind and thoughtful. His life and values were centred on his commitment to his faith in Jesus Christ. It was indeed an honour to call Jack a good friend. - Posted by: Murray Krushel (friend) on: Dec 27, 2024

My deepest sympathy to the family on the loss of a humble man of great character. Jack and I played football for the university of Manitoba Bisons. He invited me to a Blue Bomber outreach at Elim Chapel. That evening opened the door to my faith in Christ. Jack then introduced me to the Navigators and I have been in mens' groups in Ontario for the last fifty years. He made such an impact on my life, I asked Jack to be a groomsman at my wedding. I will always cherish Jack's memory. Karl Ruban - Posted by: Karl Ruban (Football teammates) on: Dec 24, 2024
