Peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024, Doris Irene Baldwin (nee Seime) passed away. Doris is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ken; son, Dan; and son-in-law, Yves Levesque.
Doris spent her formative years in Saskatchewan, with a move to Thunder Bay and then onto Winnipeg with her husband's career. During those years, Doris had a variety of working and life experiences. She was a teacher, clerk, cosmetician, and Royal Bank employee, but she also enjoyed a multitude of recreational activities: curling, golfing, line dancing, hiking, bridge, quilting and crafts. Baking was one of her favourite pastimes and she became known for her butter tarts and apple pie. She enjoyed 26 years of being an Arizona snowbird.
Doris was a proud parent and grandparent and relished in the accomplishments of each of her offspring. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Levesque, Dawn Nash, Dale Baldwin (Georges Perron) and daughter-in-law, Joan Baldwin, as well as seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a brother, Jack Hogg (Ivy), and sisters, Linda (Dale Holtby) and Donna Turk. Also surviving is her close friend of 50 plus years, Norma Dambly. Both, Doris and the family, appreciated the friendship and assistance of Michael Whalen and Lorie Abbott these past few years, and would like to extend a sincere thank you to them both.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Doris's memory to the CNIB Winnipeg, 1080 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3.
In accordance with Doris's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
