MARGUERITE LINDAL

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marguerite Lindal (Piedalue) on December 28, 2024, at the age of 78.

Born July 28, 1946, Marguerite was predeceased by her parents, Marge and Alfred Piedalue. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 59 years, Bud, daughters: Jackie (Harold), Jennifer (Jeff), and Janis (Reon), grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Sydney, Jake, Luke, Ty, Joshua, and Samuel, her loving siblings, close in-laws, and large extended family.

Marguerite built lifelong friendships during her career at ADG and treasured years with her Bridge and Girls Club. She loved cheering on her grandchildren at sports and stayed active golfing, walking, travelling, going to the casino, and playing crib daily with Bud.

These past five years at Lions Estates were a joy for Marguerite and Bud, relaxing in their sunroom and creating special friendships.

Our thanks to the healthcare teams at Health Sciences Centre, Grace & Victoria hospitals. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Heart & Stroke Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held February 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at ANAF (Portage Avenue West).

  • My deepest condolences to Jennifer and family on such a huge loss. Although I never met Marguerite in person, I feel like I knew her from the precious stories my kids told us from their time around your parents. I hope your memories can bring you comfort during this time. - Posted by: Alison Miller (Family Friend) on: Jan 18, 2025

  • Please accept our sincere condolences in the passing of Marguerite. Such a wonderful family. Bud coached our daughter, Marcy, in ringette on the district team, about 38 years ago. We were new to the Westwood area and both he and Marguerite made us feel very welcome. Thoughts are with you and your daughters. - Posted by: Roy and Nancy Scammel (Acquaintance) on: Jan 15, 2025

  • Bud, my deepest condolences on the loss of Marguerite! My fondest memories are wrapped in the times I shared with you and Marguerite during our incredible run as a team in Kirkfield Westwood. During one of those years my father needed to go on a buying trip with The Bay, and on this rare occassion, was able to take my Mom with him. You and Marguerite stepped up and took care of me and my siblings. What were you thinking??? We were further blessed to have Marguerites neverending support during my final year of Junior as you coached me to my most successful and rewarding year. Marguerites positive, fun, caring, supportive, persona will be dearly missed by all that that had the good fortune to have crossed her path! Looking forward to catching up on the February 1st, weekend. - Posted by: Gord Williams (Friend) on: Jan 13, 2025
