DIANE DUGUAY

Diane Janet Duguay passed away January 1, 2025.

Diane was many things to many people but first and foremost she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had an accomplished career in accounting, her precision was appreciated by all she worked with. She valued the idea of family and expanded the meaning to include friends and neighbours she met throughout life. She was the epitome of beauty and kindness. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered, and her generosity knew no bounds. She lived life to the fullest, spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Gerry; her children, Jules (Dana) and Carmele (Walter); her grandchildren, Caitlin, Taylor, Gabby (Brock), Lindsay, Ashlyn, Madison, Kennedy; her great-granddaughter Scottie; and her siblings, Robert, Julie, and Michelle. Preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Joseph Juskow and her siblings, Lawrence and Annette.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery (455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R2J 4J4).

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the MS Society in Diane’s name.

Although Diane is gone,

she will live in our hearts forever.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • So much time has gone by. Travel... family get togethers...we had so much fun over the years. Your family will miss you terribly. You were their rock. You fought such a hard battle. You were brave and stoic and finally went to rest. We will miss you too, and you will be in our hearts forever. Love Leo and Charlette - Posted by: Leo and Charlette (Family) on: Jan 09, 2025

  • A mere five months ago we moved into Bonavista on the Lake making the transition from a home to an apartment. Diane was the first person to welcome us as she saw us moving boxes in. She talked with us and invited us down for a drink after a hard day of moving. Diane was a bright shining light, kind, generous, we had the privilege of knowing her only a short time but the memory of her graciousness will remain in our hearts forever. • We met Diane and Gerry 2 years ago in our apartment. We said hello one morning and that's all it took to become friends. Gerry and Diane's outgoing personalities made it easy for us to connect. They made us feel like family when we were together. Diane will be deeply missed. - Posted by: Val and Ray (Friend ) on: Jan 05, 2025

  • Many fond memories of Mrs. Duguay while I was growing up with Jules and Carmele with her cheering us on playing slo-pitch. Always welcoming everyone over for a swim after the game. My condolences to the entire Duguay family Joe Zerdin - Posted by: Joe Zerdin (Friend of the family) on: Jan 04, 2025

  • So many memories flooding back today! I see myself crossing the Nelson Mc school yard over to your Grandma’s coffee shop and going into the house to get your Mom and then we would walk together to Holy Cross School. 🙏 - Posted by: Jean Van Walleghem (Giesinger) (Best friends) on: Jan 04, 2025
