Dr. Goldberg was a true lifesaver to our family - helping us understand our children and prioritize their needs as they grew into the amazing adults they now are. I don't know where we would have been without him and we will be forever grateful for his compassion, knowledge and vision for them and for us as a family. - Posted by: Anne Kresta (Parent of patients) on: May 18, 2025

Our deepest sympathies to Dr. Goldberg's family. We first met Norman on Rosh Hashana, September 1980, when he came to St. Boniface Hospital on his way back from synagogue to check our newborn son, Simon. How kind of him, we thought then, and our respect and gratitude for his wise advice, kindness and dependability, never waivered over the following years. We still remember his dry wit and the calming influence it had on new parents. May his legacy be a blessing and ease your grief in the days and years ahead. Sincerely, Sari, Neil and Simon Tudiver, Ottawa - Posted by: Sari and Neil Tudiver (parents of former patient) on: Feb 18, 2025

Dr. Goldberg was my children's pediatrician. He was the absolute best. He always made the right call when it came to my children's diagnoses and treatments. I always felt so fortunate to have him as my children's doctor. - Posted by: Janice H (Mother of patients) on: Feb 03, 2025

Dr. Goldberg was our daughter’s pediatrician from the day we adopted her at seven weeks. He was always respectful, kind, caring and gentle. Even when our daughter tried to kick him because of her fear of needles, he did not lose patience. We have some funny Dr. Goldberg stories and one serious one that he assisted us in resolving. I am forever grateful for his humanity. - Posted by: P. Gillman (Daughter’s pediatrician) on: Feb 01, 2025

Norman Goldberg will always be remembered as a mensch. I first knew Dr. Goldberg as a teacher, then as a colleague, collaborating on caring for children and teenagers with physical and psychiatric challenges. He was a consummate clinician and colleague. He was always available to discuss patient care in a productive, professional way tolerating our limitations as physicians and being accepting of how the patients' challenges may limit their ability for recovery. His calm and caring demeanor inspired other health care professionals. Norm was an all round person and practitioner. Thank you Norm for who you were and leaving part of yourself with so many. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Craig Downs (Colleague) on: Feb 01, 2025

I'm filled with deep sadness knowing Dr Goldberg has passed on. He spent years dedicated to children and provided exceptional care for our daughter Crystal. Her disability challenged Dr Goldberg and he never failed to successfully treat her, During her cancer years I witnessed Dr Goldberg sitting at her bedside in PICU crying, assuring her he would be with her every step of the way. He did in fact walk with her through the treatment. There are simply no words that can truly sum up one of Manitoba's finest pediatric doctors. I am forever grateful for having Dr Goldberg care my both our daughters. Rest in Paradise Dr Goldberg. Our heartfelt condolences to his family. I am sad to hear of Dr Goldberg’s passing. I worked closely with him when working at the Society of Manitobans with Disabilities in Children’s Services. My sincere condolences to the family, colleagues and the many children whose lives he impacted. May he rest in peace for all eternity. I am so sorry to hear of Norman's passing. He was a dedicated paediatrician, who went over and above for his patients, and was so kind. I had the pleasure of working with Norman in my days as a medical social worker at Children's Hospital, and Norman would always take the time to thoroughly explain, and listen. His patients would always receive wonderful care, and parents loved him. He and my father were also colleagues. My sincere condolences to his family, and may his memory be a blessing. - Posted by: Enid Barnes (colleague and family friend) on: Jan 07, 2025
