PATRICIA (HIPPIE) LYNN SNARE
The world lost one of the Sweetest Woman that ever lived, "Patti” had a big heart and her thoughts always put her large family first. Her kind, friendly personality touched everyone that met her.
The days were never about her, but she looked forward to her regular Saturday nights out with her sisters and Best Friend Colleen and Cathy as well as her weekly Thrifty Expeditions with our son John. Patti also enjoyed her daily morning phone chats with long-time friend Dianne. She loved her many house plants and flower gardening in the summer.
Patti was predeceased by her parents, John and Camellia and her brother Gary.
Left to enjoy memories of her are her siblings, Jim (Judy), Ken, Glen (Jackie), David, Colleen and Cathy; her sons, Doug (Enya), Marcel (Aaron), John (Amanda) and James (Christine), as well as Granma’s loves, Dallas (Hailea), Tie (Sienna), Kayden, Skyla, Tre, Aiden, Adrianna, Ella, Tucker and Amelia and her Loving Husband of over 43 years, Doug.
When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not there to see; If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too. So, when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here, in your Heart.
Sleep tight my wife, my love, my life and we will see you in the morning. We love you Mom xoxo
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Health Care Workers and staff at 3E Palliative Care at Riverview Health Centre for their kindness and support in Patti’s final days.
As per Patti’s wishes, no service to be held and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

Best friends since grade 6 we have stayed in touch; Patty and I spent nearly every day together in our teens. About 2 months ago I bumped into Patty at Walmart and we talked about years gone by and I told her I love her and we had a big hug. I'm so very grateful we were both shopping that day. All my love to Cathy and Colleen and the rest of the family. Rest in peace Patty. Love Carol - Posted by: Carol Kelly (McLellan) (Best friends since grade 6 we stayed in touch since) on: Jan 23, 2025

I’m very saddened by the news of my friend Patti’s passing. My deepest sympathies go out to her large and loving family during this difficult time. This is an immeasurable loss, and I wish you all strength, comfort, and hope as you navigate through it. I cherish so many memories of my time ‘hanging out’ with Patti. She was a kind, fun, lovely soul and a true friend. In our late teens we were best friends, sharing many weird and wild adventures as we steered our way through the fearless teen years to early adulthood. As roommates we took the exciting step of moving into our first apartment (albeit short-lived) —a rite of passage that we often laughed and reminisced about in later years. Although around 1974 life led us down different paths, me to Vancouver and eventually to The Netherlands, we never lost our connection. Whenever I returned to Winnipeg we always managed to meet up again to catch up. Sadly in the last few decades I never returned to the Peg but thankfully we reconnected through facebook and enjoyed glimpses into each other’s lives and revisited the memories of our early friendship from those free-spirited “hippie” days. Rest gently, my dear friend … sending you love and light through your journey. xx - Kathy - Posted by: Kathy Christian (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2025
