Peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025, Dorothy Linda Dorie, at the age of 74 years, passed away at the Grace Hospital and went into the arms of Jesus with her loving family by her side.
Linda will be missed by her grandchildren, Ocean and Levi Bruyere; her two great-grandsons, Daycean and Daystar Kakakaway; her grandchildren in Halifax; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her two sons, Brian Maybee and Arthur Bruyere; her granddaughter Shoshannie Williams, her parents, Sidney and Christina Dorie, her siblings, John Dorie, Stanley Dorie, Alice Mann, Helen Adams, Mary Dorie, Margaret Kent, Virginia (Wallace) Abraham; William (Christina) Bird Sr.
Wake Services began on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Christ Anglican Church in Sagkeeng First Nation. Funeral Services will follow in the church at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Interment to follow in the parish Cemetery. Officiating Rev. Richard and Nancy Bruyere.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital and her home at Ellice Place and her home care workers.
