It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kathryn Shorrock on December 27, 2024.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents, John and Jean Merchant, and son, John. She leaves to celebrate her life husband, Gary; daughter, Tammy (Jon); cherished grandchildren, Calvin and Alexis. Kathy is also remembered by her sister, Kris (Terry), brother, Ken (Krys), and many friends.
Kathy had a special heart for animals and was a devoted mom to many fur babies. She found joy in serving her community, working in the Safeway deli where she earned the nickname "Chatty Kathy".
Kathy's quick wit and contagious laughter will be deeply missed. She had a talent for making others feel special, always remembering important milestones. She taught those around her the importance of life’s small joys - hugs, saying "I love you," and showing kindness in every interaction.
Per Kathy's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held.
In honour of Kathy's memory, let us all continue her legacy of love, kindness, and connection.
