Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUZANNE DELORME
With family by her side, on the morning of January 16, 2025, Suzanne Pierrette Delorme (nee Robert), our mom, “mere” and friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 72.
Suzanne was predeceased by her father Louis, mother Lucia, infant brother Leo, sister-in-law Helene, brothers-in-law, Allan, Paul, Dan and great-nephew Justin.
Mom, or as her grandchildren knew her as “Mere”, will be lovingly remembered by her husband Brunel, children, Brunel Jr. (Ashley), Nicole and Sean (Jessica). Her grandchildren filled her heart with love and pride including Alexander, Michel, Mathieu, Nicholas, Charlotte, Ruby and Hayes. Very special to mom were her 13 brothers and sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Suzanne was born December 2, 1952. Early in life, following her mom in the kitchen, she developed a passion for cooking and baking, skills that she would use for the rest of her life. She moved to St. Norbert, where she graduated high school and spent some time in the hospitality industry. It was around this time when Sue met “Bru”. They married in June 1973 and started a family. In 1985, Suzanne graduated from the nursing college at St. Boniface, where she became an LPN. She worked for almost 40 years caring for the clergy at Villa Aulneau and Residence Despins. Mom was incredible with her care, grace, and compassion.
In 1988, Bru and Sue moved to St. Vital where they continued to raise their family. Later they bought a cabin in Auglen Park, near Lac du Bonnet where they would eventually retire. It was here, where Mom felt at peace. The land gave her plenty to do. It became her passion! Mostly started from seed, the gardens were full of flowers and vegetables. They needed love and care, which luckily were specialties of Suzanne. The bounty that came from the gardens also allowed Mom’s charitable heart to shine through. So many were gifted: flowers, vegetables and preserves, all the result of Suzanne’s loving hands.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Norbert Roman Catholic Parish. Refreshments to follow at the church hall. A private interment will occur at a later date.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Cheryl for her compassion and loving care she provided for Sue during her last days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
If so wished, condolences can be posted at www.alternacremation.ca
Mom, you have given so much more than you received. You do not have to be in pain anymore. Rest and tend to your garden, with a diet coke in your hand. We will miss you so much.

My beautiful sister Suzie... in the last two weeks I reminisce about our childhood... the stolen popcorn, the "club" in the abandon car. You being our teacher and all the homework you would give us... you always looked after the " 3 girls".. you were our mentor and I always admired you.. as we became adults you were my confidant, you never judged, but most of all I remember the kind loving and caring sister you were. I love you with all my heart... and I will miss you and feel your void.... rest easy my dear sister Suzie... - Posted by: Danielle Gladstone (sister) on: Jan 30, 2025

To Bru and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Today was Suzanne's funeral. There were so many people. She sure was a special person. When we bought this place 4 years ago she came over and told me she was a loner. So I said no problem. That didn't last long before we became great friends. I will miss seeing Suzanne in her pj's checking out her garden first thing in the morning. We would sit in the back yard having a glass of wine and laughing. Or she would come down the rocks with vegetables or rhubarb for us. We would celebrate her Birthday every year with a cake that said Happy Birthday Suzy-Q. She will be so missed by the two of us. As a neighbour and friend she never ever will be replaced. I am so grateful we met her and she made us part of her family. We love you Suzy-Q. - Posted by: Pam & Maurice Blackburn (Friend) on: Jan 29, 2025

Condolences to Bru and the family. I worked with Suzanne at Despins. We shared an office as care managers… I greatly admired her expertise in nursing as well as her “green thumb “! - Posted by: Clara Lauze (Co worker and friend) on: Jan 27, 2025

To Suzanne's family we are truly sorry to hear of her passing. She attended our Notre Dame du Lac church in Lac du Bonnet. This is where we met Suzanne. As was mentioned, She was the most wonderful cook. She always brought some of her delicious baking to our perogy making days. She worked so hard to help with everything in our parishes. Attended to the beautiful flower beds in front of the church and Blessed many of us with her starter pants of flowers and vegetables. They always grew the best of all my plants. She definitely had a green thumb. I think it was because she prayed over each plant and gave it love. She was a very loving and generous lady and we will miss her beautiful smile and her loving presence. Til we meet again Suzanne. Rest in our Savior Jesus's loving arms. Prayers for Peace for all her family that she left behind. - Posted by: Beverley Simard (Friend) on: Jan 26, 2025

Sue was a good friend in school and my roommate when we first graduated from school and went out on our own. Our paths crossed again many years later when I worked for Home Care and she was the LPN at the residence for clergy in St Boniface, I don’t remember which one though. A beautiful person inside and out! Rest in peace my beautiful friend! My heart goes out to her family! Norma - Posted by: Norma Love(Cinq-Mars) (Friend) on: Jan 25, 2025
