Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) GEORGE WATTS
Born and raised in Winnipeg, predeceased by his father, Allan Watts and mother, Antoinette ‘Toni’ (Jankowski) Watts. Bob was founder and owner of Jazz Financial/Jazz Investments Ltd, in which he took pride in helping to make his clients successful and had a genuine interest in each person with whom he connected. He liked to hear their stories—tell a few of his own—but always with an ear to what their ambitions and dreams might be, to see how he could help.
A generous person with a large heart and a big smile, Bob had over 28 years of creating Jazz Vespers and concerts held in Winnipeg and Victoria. He fused his passion for music with his drive to raise funds for charities and, by doing so, was able to perform on drums with many different exceptional groups of musicians that he would put together—not only raising money for these charities, but with the music, increasing the amounts raised. He had a love for jazz music, drums, watches, cars and, most importantly, his friends and family. He will be missed by everyone who had contact with him.
Deeply missed by his wife, Bonnie de Moissac, son Spencer Vatrt-Watts, brother Paul Watts (Ericka), sister Nancy Rogerson (Brian), cousin Dorothy Moleski (Terry), step-sons Rick and Dan de Moissac, nephews, nieces, cousins, his wonderful staff and treasured clients.
Bob has planned all the details for parties to be held in both Winnipeg and Victoria:
Saturday, February 1, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Lutheran Church of the Cross, Victoria
Tuesday, March 11, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Manitoba Club, 194 Broadway, Winnipeg

I was so shocked and then saddened when I learned of Bob’s passing. Bob and I first met in August 1971 in Winnipeg at the U of M Commerce faculty. We were both 18 and registering to attend 1st year university. We decided that same day to become locker partners for the upcoming 1971/72 university year. Not only were we locker partners for 4 years of university but we also became very close friends. We had many similar interests and we both enjoyed music and this gave us a natural connection for an ongoing friendship. We spent as much time in UMSU listening to visiting bands and musicians as we did in the classroom (and maybe more). Bob never did anything halfway. Whether it was listening to his stereo, playing the drums, taking photos, searching out his next car purchase or organizing a ski trip, he did it all with enthusiasm and great zest. Although I moved from Winnipeg to Calgary in the mid 1970’s, Bob and I kept in touch over the years. Bob was always the best at picking up the phone to catch up, to tell me a story or just to check on how I was doing. I will truly miss him and his friendship. - Posted by: Tim Gracel (Friend) on: Feb 27, 2025

We were so sorry to hear about Bob's passing and want to extend our condolences to Nancy & her family, Paul & his family. Mom & Dad first met Bob's parents, Toni & Al at St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Winnipeg in the early 60's. It so happened that both families bought a cottage at Big Whiteshell Lake in '64 and thus began a long-time family connection. Lots of good times were had together over the years, with pranks, visits, good talks, lots of sun and water, silliness, laughs & stories. Bob stayed in touch periodically over the years, even after moving to Victoria. Now that Toni and Al are gone and our parents are 98 & 99 years old, our worlds are different but we remember those early great years with fondness. We had a phone conversation with Bob a year ago and were glad to hear he was the same old Bob, happy and enjoying life. You and Nancy and Paul are all in our thoughts. Rest in peace, Bob. Bob was a talented busy man, his jazz band played in my June Wells' Holy Trinity Winnipeg church probably charitably. He also travelled to clients, lived in Victoria & Winnipeg to show commitment to them. I live in Ottawa & Winnipeg & travelled across Canada to see client-friends. Both RFPs in the IAFP, Bob was & is still, with his Foundation, giving to others. RIP Bob. Condolences to your families, friends & clients who will long remember & thank you. - Posted by: Denzil FEINBERG (Finplanner, RFP & Friend) on: Feb 13, 2025

I first met Bob as a nine year old while staying with Aunt Anna and Uncle Bill for a short holiday on Home St. with Bob living one street to the east and south about one km. We had a great time together. We hired out mowing lawns for a small wage with the family reel type mower, one on each side so we had enough force to push the mower. With the money we (he as the guide) made our way to Portage Ave. and to the Bay where we spent our hard earned money. Just a great time for a pair of nine year old. Always liked and admired Bob. To all who loved Bob and mourn your loss in his death, our heartfelt and sincere Condolences. He will be missed by so many. - Posted by: Gavin Jones (Cousin of a cousin) on: Jan 25, 2025
