CECILE MATHILDA ARNAL

(nee VERRIER)

September 17, 1932 - January 27, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our treasured mother, memère grand-memère and arrière grand memère.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roland in 2005. She will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Gisèle (Roland) Laurin, Larry (Marshia) Arnal, Doris (Andre) Huyghe, Colette (Brian) Desorcy, Lyn (Paul) Arbez. Also left to cherish her memory are her 14 grandchildren, Marc (Shauna), Garry (Jennifer), Joanne (Shane), Dean (Basia), Ron (Jen), Michelle (Shawn), Gary (Vicki), Colleen (Meghdad), Christine (Miles), Nerissa (Curtis), Nicole (Michael), Kevin (Amber), Philip (Courtney), Leanne (Jonathan), as well as 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She will also be missed by her sisters, Marie Duclos, Claudette Bisson, and her brother Pierre (Rita) Verrier.

Mom was born and raised in La Broquerie along with nine sisters and five brothers. She married Dad and then was devoted to farm life. She was a remarkably energetic and strong woman as was evident in raising their five children on the family farm. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and many crafts. She maintained a meticulous house and was an even better cook and baker, her specialty being her famous date squares and homemade soup. She once was dubbed "The Soup Angel" in her condo. Mom enjoyed many trips with Dad in Canada and the US. She looked forward to prepping her coffee and goodies for our Sunday afternoon family get together. We will always hold those fond memories.

The family would like to thank the First Responders and the compassion shown by the care team at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street, Winnipeg, MB.

Rest in Peace Mom.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

Votre cousin, Renald Piché - Posted by: Renald Piché (Nephew) on: Feb 21, 2025
