GILLES ADRIEN RAJOTTE

November 19, 1957 - January 22, 2025

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of Gilles' (Popeye) passing. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Jo-Anne; children, Paul (Andrea), and Natalie (Joe); grandchildren, Calyb, Kyra, Parker, Landon, and Jacob; as well as his father Ian.

Family was the foundation of Gilles’ life and often expressed his grandchildren were his legacy. He found immense joy in supporting their various activities. Outside of this, he treasured sharing meals and stories with loved ones and spending time “puttering” around the house. Gilles will always be fondly remembered for his humor, generosity, selflessness, and willingness to provide guidance and insight on a wide array of subjects to those fortunate to cross paths with him.

“You were my greatest gift, and I will love you forever.” -- Jo-Jo

In accordance with Gilles’ wishes, a private celebration will take place. Our family is immensely thankful for the outstanding care he received from HSC D6, CancerCare Manitoba, and St. Boniface Palliative Care Ward. In his memory, kindly consider contributing to CancerCare Manitoba or Canadian Blood Services.

  • My condolences to Joanne and family. I have great memories of hanging out with Popeye from elementary and high school… he was a straight shooter and was always fun to be around! Although I had not seen him for some time, I thought about him just a few days ago…I was going to make an attempt to get in touch with him… I guess it was his way of saying goodbye… peace be with you Popeye..Guy - Posted by: Guy Jeanson (Childhood Friend) on: Feb 01, 2025
