Our family offer our deepest sympathy to you Monica, Kara and Eric. I think of Ron and remember his smile, the sparkle in his eyes and his genuine hospitality. Our daughters both remember Ron from days when they babysat at your home some 40 years ago, both stating," he was such a nice man". Strength to you all. - Posted by: Georgette Martin -Couture (Charleswood friend and co-worker) on: Mar 15, 2025

One of the best guys I've had the pleasure to call a friend. Amazing coach and I had the pleasure to coach his son Eric in lacrosse and he was so much like his dad in his dedication and determination. I will miss him greatly!! - Posted by: Rick Varnes (Friend) on: Feb 08, 2025

My Condolences to Coach Gustafson's loved ones and friends on his passing. Ron was my Football coach for several years in the 80s.He taught us to play hard every play, practice hard and play for the guy next to you. He made football one the joys of my time at Grant Park. He was a fun coach and one you could see had incredible athletic talent even after his playing days were over. Several times seen him stand in a Running back to teach us something. I would watch in awe how he would weave his way thru the team once even getting a straight arm from him when I tried to grasp him. Best way I could sum him up is he was just a really good man. The football world lost a great one. Rest in peace Coach. - Posted by: Craig Cottrell (My Coach) on: Feb 08, 2025
