We became friends when we were allowed to cross the street,69 years ago. Wonderful memories of a wonderful friend. Along with Margaret Anne we laughed, played, cried our way through the years. Even when miles apart our friendship stayed strong. Always in my heart and thoughts, miss you tremendously.❄️❤️ - Posted by: Deb Prideaux (Friend) on: Feb 11, 2025

Dale was a fighter. At adolescence she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes but she dealt with it and lived her life. This did lead to health issues and complications in later years which she fought and overcame. She attended Sir John Franklin Elementary, J.B. Mitchell Junior High and Kelvin High schools. She was a member of Westworth United Church and we would go off to Sunday School every Sunday (except in the summer). That was cottage time. There was the family cottage at West Hawk Lake which Dale loved. She was a River Heights girl growing up and moved back to the family home to live in later years. Dale worked hard all her life and raised her family in Winnipeg. Losing her daughter was the hardest challenge that life ever gave her. She was a strong woman but gentle, peaceful and forgiving. She was that way her entire life. Covid took a toll on her life in December but she beat Covid only to succumb to death in February. She will be remembered by everyone who knew her for the gentle woman that she was. - Posted by: Margaret Ann Anderson (friend) on: Feb 08, 2025

Dale was my friend for 64 years -- since my family moved next door to the Whitwells. As friends, we went to kindergarten, elementary, junior high and high school together. She was always a good person, kind and forgiving. Loved dogs -- her Moochie. The three of us -Dale, Debbie (lived across the street from us) and me would get together up to celebrate our birthdays with a celebratory lunch. We didn't get to be together for her latest birthday in Dec. We played forts and hide and seek and all the childhood games growing up. We remained friends, through boyfriends, marriages, births, deaths. She will be remembered with good thoughts. She is at peace and without pain now. - Posted by: Margaret Ann Anderson (friend) on: Feb 08, 2025
