Doug passed away peacefully after being diagnosed with dementia one year ago.
Doug was predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 57 years, Joan Cotte, who died in 2018. Doug is survived by his four daughters, Joy, Jill, June, and Judy, along with his grandsons, Evan, Jack, and Joe.
In his prime, Doug was the consummate host who loved nothing more than to host a party surrounded by family and friends. He repeatedly earned his nickname of 'Amazing Man' by being always willing to help, although his navigation and handyman skills were a source of amusement for everyone, including Doug! He was an active and engaged Dad who taught his girls that they could be anything they wanted to be, at a time when that message was much less common. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.
