It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shaun on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Shaun leaves behind to carry on the legacy of his love, his daughter Gage, who was the light of his life. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for her, his parents, Jo-Anne and Shell, brother Ray and nephew Sky, uncle Larry, aunty Darlene and Harry, and cousin Anna. Also Shaun’s buddy Nacho. They were crazy about each other. Nacho couldn’t wait til Shaun came over so she could lick his head. And the newest addition is Meow Meow. The cutest ever. Meow would sleep on Shaun’s chest. Shaun really grew to love Meow Meow.
Shaun was predeceased by Baba and Gigi Harasymchuk and grandma and grandpa Hawkins.
Shawn was born January 8, 1978 at St. Boniface Hospital. Shaun grew up in East Kildonan. He played hockey and lacrosse until he was well in his 20s making many lifetime friendships.
He started his career in sheet metal, then over ten years in Corrections, then UPS driver, then on to management, then construction from framing houses to a driller/locator. He loved all the career choices he made.
We want to thank the Drs. And nurses of the ACCU unit on the 5th floor of St. B and all our friends and Shaun’s friends who have showed support during this difficult time.
A private service will be held at a later date.

When I heard the news of your passing, my heart broke. I always hoped for us to connect again, where I would let you know how much you meant to me. How much my son reminds me of you, and how much I wished for you to see your worth. My condolences to the whole family and his beautiful daughter Gage. I spent a lot of time with Shaun at his cabin in the summers over the years and enjoyed our talks and just his contagious laughter.
