SCOTT NEWSOM
May 29, 1993 - March 6, 2013
We were so very blessed to have had Scott with us for almost 20 years. We will forever miss his powerful but gentle bear hugs, warmth, compassion and kindness, gentle spirit, brilliant writing, fair-mindedness, stunning intelligence and unique wit. Scott wrote about Jesus: "He ... doesn't say 'but'. He doesn't see you as a 'but' person at all; he's not loving you in spite of anything. He just loves you because he loves you because he loves you, and that's the only thing that matters". We are thankful that Scott loved Jesus, and that we will see Scott in Heaven. A favourite verse of Scott's: "He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit". Psalm 147: 3-5.
Scott, we who know you love you and miss you.
