AUDREY FRANCES JANE EVANS

August 1932 - January 2025

Peacefully on January 28, 2025, Audrey passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 92.

She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Violet and James and her husband of 57 years, Leslie.

Audrey grew up in downtown Winnipeg on Smith Street with her mother and siblings.

She always liked to tell everyone about her first job at MTS stuffing the bills into envelopes. Unfortunately, this didn’t last long as her employer found out she was only 14 years old.

Audrey spent most of her career at Canada Packers where she made many lifelong friends. In retirement she enjoyed travelling to Tucson for the winter and playing Bingo at the Casino. Audrey and Les also spent winters in Tucson before retirement and went there for over 40 years.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Victoria Hospital particularly 4 North for their great care and compassion for Audrey and to all the friends and family who offered their support and prayers.

In accordance with Audrey’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A Celebration of Life will follow in the spring.
