  • My condolences to the Mizuno family, Roy (Mr Mizuno) was my autobody instructor in the early 80's, Roy was one of the most influential persons in my life, he pushed me and gave me confidence. Mr. Mizuno truly cared about his students and there future, He will always be a roll model to me. God Bless the Mizuno Family! • First of all my condolences to his family for your loss. Roy was a well respected teacher whose students always came first. He was respected by all of the other staff including the administration. When the school needed volunteers for virtually any event Roy was there to help out. I, as well as other staff and students will miss him. Rest in peace Roy. - Posted by: Ed Bailey (Fellow teacher and friend) on: Mar 08, 2025

  • Mr. Mizuno was my auto body teacher in the early 1980’s at Kildonan East Collegiate. He was honest, fair, smart, articulate and knew how to get the best out of his students. He demanded excellence, and was with you every step of the way to get it from his students. To say he had an impact in my life is a considerable understatement. Although I didn’t stay in the auto body trade, I made a career in the coatings and Colors industry and the lessons he taught me helped me tremendously. Most importantly, pride and integrity in everything you do. To his family, I offer my sincere condolences to all of you. Mr. Mizuno was a well respected man by me, and many many others. Kind regards. • My sincere condolences to Mr. Mizuno's family and friends. Nothing but good memories and respect for Mr. Mizuno. I knew him from Kildonan East High School. He was not my teacher, he was one of my hockey coaches on the High school hockey team. This was in the early years of the Winnipeg High School Hockey League. He was one of the reasons I wanted to play on the team. Great guy, always friendly and positive, he made it a fun experience for everyone. Rest in peace Mr. Mizuno.
