TERENCE CHRISTOPHER WILLETTE

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terence Christopher Willette on February 18, 2025.

Terry will be missed by daughters, Meaghan Jensen (Andrew) and Stephanie Willette (David), grandchildren, Finley and Remi Jensen and Taylor McPhail, his living siblings, Helen Forward (Wendell), Kathleen Webster (Fred), Phil Willette (Peggy), John Willette (Carol Ann) and Loretta Dolmage (Neil), his partner Lynn, best friend Gerry as well as dozens of family members across Canada.

Terry was born on June 23, 1956, in Bonne Bay, Newfoundland. He was the youngest of ten siblings and remained close to them throughout his life. Terry loved his grandchildren, playing golf, billiards and watching hockey. He enjoyed spending winters in Arizona where he made many friends that became like family. We are comforted to know that he has now been reunited with his mom and dad, Suzanna and John and siblings, Gertie, Anne, Sam and Kevin.

In keeping with Terry’s wishes no funeral will take place.

Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • I was shocked and saddened to hear of Terry’s passing. I have fond memories of Terry while I worked in the Snow Lake area for the Manitoba Parks Branch during the summer of 1978. We, along with other friends sat around many campfires at Wekusko Falls. Sincere condolences to all Terry’s Family. - Posted by: Ron Hawkins (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2025

  • Condolences to Terry's family and Lynn. We had the opportunity to spend time golfing and spending time at various barbecues. Rest in peace Terry!! - Posted by: Sherry and Carl Orcutt (Friends) on: Mar 12, 2025

  • People have great friends but I think I had the best. Terry and I had a great relationship, playing golf, pool, crib and many great conversations. Jackie will miss their many political chats and hockey talk. Terry was a great Winnipeg Jet fan, and a loyal CBOB listener, and didn't miss a game when he was away in Phoenix. He knew every player on every team in the NHL. God speed and rest in peace my good friend. Gerry and Jackie - Posted by: gerry searcy (friend) on: Mar 11, 2025

  • So, so saddened to read of Terry's passing. We have so many memories of the years with Terry as school mates and special friends growing up together in Bonne Bay. I thoroughly enjoyed catching up when we both visited our childhood home, but they seemed all too infrequent, and never quite long enough. Over the years I found solace in thinking 'there's lots of time' or 'maybe next year', but sadly..... Sending sincere condolences to Terry's family and friends. - Posted by: Rendell/Christine Walters (friends) on: Mar 11, 2025

  • Terry was a great friend going back to the early 1980's when he worked with me in Snow Lake, MB. When he went into real estate he sold our house for us when we moved from Wpg. We would often visit with him and Lynn down in Apache Junction, AZ. Terry will be missed. - Posted by: Wayne & Margaret Rushton (good friends) on: Mar 10, 2025

  • I had the good fortune to work with Terry from the late 1980s through the 90s as we both managed Royal LePage Real Estate offices in Winnipeg. Terry was a bit gruff and ornery on the outside but a teddy bear once you got to know him. Terry didn’t mince words. He always spoke his mind and got right to the point. I had a lot of respect for him. We lost touch after our RL days but I often thought of him. My condolences to his girls and family. RIP Terry. - Posted by: Cliff King (Former co-worker) on: Mar 10, 2025

  • Terry liked to play golf and loved to play crib, lets say he was average at both. Where he excelled was making butter tarts, best ones I ever had. Terry you will be missed by many. You were a very good friend of my brother Gerry, and I thank you for that. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Barry Searcy (Friend) on: Mar 09, 2025
