It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Betty Schweitzer (nee Cranstone), at the age of 85, after a courageous battle with cancer ,with her family by her side.
She will be greatly missed by her husband George of 30 years, her children, Trish, Bonnie (Jim), Jeffrey (Sharon), Katherine, and Diana; as well as her stepchildren, Suzanne (Adam), Kathryn (Mark) and three step-grandchildren, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Betty is survived by her sisters, Shirley and Doreen and her brother Doug.
Even though Betty battled cancer over the past year she was always more concerned about her family's welfare which is how she spent her life.
In keeping with Betty's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn with short reception to follow after the interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Smile.

Betty and George briefly resided in our block. Attended resident functions and when she could Betty helped putting on the Saturday afternoon coffee time for the residents. A lovely person always upbeat. Walked daily in the neighborhood. Very sorry to hear of her passing. Betty and George were a lovely addition to our little community.
