LORELEE LYNNE MEADS

With family by her side, Lorelee Lynne Meads (née Bonwick), aged 67, passed peacefully at Selkirk Regional Health Centre on March 9, 2025.

Lorelee was born January 17, 1958, to Murray and Edna Bonwick. She married her husband Lorne on December 6, 1978. Together, they journeyed around the prairie provinces, making friends and building a life along the way. In 1984, they settled in Moosehorn, Manitoba, where they raised their children Daniel and Vanessa. Lorelee worked for Lakeshore School Division for 24 years. She and Lorne retired in 2011 to Selkirk, Manitoba. Lorelee enjoyed travelling and she and Lorne road-tripped throughout Canada as much as possible, always stopping to visit siblings and other loved ones.

Lorelee was a skilled cook, baker, crocheter, knitter, and quilter, and she loved making things for others. She was a thoughtful, kind person who deeply valued family and relationships. She is survived by her husband Lorne; her son Daniel; her daughter Vanessa (Jackson); and her siblings Thomas (Louise), David (Sharon), Marla, Robert (JoAnne), Barry (Lana), Bonny (Darren), and Benji, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Lorelee was predeceased by her parents, her stepmom Yvonne, and her brother Mark.

Lorelee's family would like to extend their immense gratitude to the team at Selkirk Regional Health Centre for their years of excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Manitoba Possible or a charity of your choice. Per Lorelee's wishes, cremation has taken place. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
