HELEN VOGRIG
On Friday March 7, 2025, our beloved Mother and Nona peacefully passed away in her sleep.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lucy (Eric) and son Marco (Jennifer), grandchildren, Erika, Alaena, Mason, Ashley and great-grandchildren, Felix, Nico and Leelo.
Born in Italy, mom immigrated to Canada in 1956. She worked in hospitality at Rae & Jerrys and catering for Neil Bardal Funeral Centre. She loved her work and the families she made at each one. Being with family was her greatest joy. She was accomplished in crafting, knitting, sewing, cooking and dancing. She had a great love of gardening and flowers. Mom lived a full life, caring for others. She was kind and gentle with a wonderful sense of style. We are forever grateful and blessed to have her in our lives. She has left a legacy of kindness and love.
Our family wishes to express our gratitude for Dr. Lowden's care over a number of years and to all her home care workers.
A funeral will take place on Saturday, March 29, at 12:00 noon at St. Ignatius Church, Fr. Daryl Miranda officiating.
Arrangements by Neil Bardal Funeral Centre.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mother. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your Family. My Mother (Tessie Borowiec) and your Mother worked together at Rae and Jerry's for many many years Mt Mother worked there for 50 years then retired. My Mother and I visited your Mother quite a few times over the years having lunches, one of their favorite was Chinese food. I remember the veggies and gnocchi your Mom brought to us. My Dad and Helen loved kabitsing. My Mother passed and in my heart I believe they Angels together in Heaven. My sincere condolences from the Borowiec Family (Carol, Dave and Joanne) - Posted by: Carol Tabor (Family Friend and retired co-worker) on: Jul 21, 2025

I offer my sincere condolences to all the family. I remember Helen as a very kind and loving woman dedicated to her family. I always enjoyed speaking with her at family gatherings. So sorry for your loss. I am sorry I could not attend her funeral as I had a family gathering I was attending. I am hoping that I can connect with Lucy as I don't have her contact info. To Helen's family, (a few that I have met.) My sincere condolences to you all. What a pleasure it was working with Helen for many years at Neil Bardal's. She kept us all in line, with a wink and a smile on her face, and we all shared many laughs throughout the years. The world was a better place with her being a part of it. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, as you say your last thank you and farewells to her. Rest in peace Helen. - Posted by: Lee Barringer (Co-Worker) on: Mar 15, 2025
