STEPHANIE MANDZIE


Peacefully on March 23, 2025, Stephanie passed away at the age of 92.

Stephanie was born on December 26, 1932, in Selkirk, MB.

She will be deeply missed by her devoted sister Veronica, her two nieces, Coreen (David) Kieser and Dr. Michelle (Tim Cuthbert) Darichuk. Stephanie (Chocha) was also loved and will be missed by her grandnephews, Brody (Celina) Haugen, Adam Haugen and Daniel Kieser and by her grandniece Gabrielle Kieser.

Stephanie worked for Air Canada from her 20s all through to retirement. Her Air Canada friendships were maintained through the decades until her passing. Stephanie was known for her love of family, gardening, travel and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27 at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, followed by interment in Holy Family Cemetery.

Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Basil’s Ukrainian Church, 202 Harcourt St. The interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery.

  • I did not know Stephanie, however, I know her sister Veronica. The 2 Sisters looked alike. Knowing Veronica; one can safely assume Stephanie was a fine, giving, gentle soul like Veronica.
