Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLEY JOSEPHINE HOESCHEN
The family of Beverley Hoeschen is very saddened to announce her death on March 21. After a long, wonderful life, she died at home peacefully with her partner of 57 years, Richard Hoeschen, by her side. She will be deeply missed by Richard, her daughter Heather (Jim) and sons James and Craig (Jennifer), her grandsons Seth and Marcus, her sister Lorraine, extended family and many good friends.
A proud product of her roots and how she was raised and educated, Beverley, born to Ralph and Josephine (Miller) Kisiel, spent her life in Winnipeg in a strong commitment to family and home, blessed with the gifts of good judgement, common sense, deep love of family and giving of her time to others and causes.
For all those who came to know Beverley well, there is a special place in their hearts for Beverley... especially when a passion for the kitchen, where she was bold and daring, was frequently shared with her friends... much to their delight.
Beverley survived, accepted, put up with, and faced the effects of a series of strokes at the end of her life with a determination and strength that was the hallmark of her life as her devoted friends and home care personnel, for whom we are thankful, would attest. You know who you are. God bless you.
We all say goodbye to Beverley who was important in our lives. May she be enjoying her eternal reward.
When this is published there will have occurred a family mass for Beverley.

Dear Richard and family. I was so sad to receive this news and really have a hard time believing that your Beverley is gone. As you know, I didn't know her well but she was always so gracious and lovely the times that I did talk to her. Seems like such a short time ago that I saw you both in Toronto. Since that time I’ve been in France and spent three day with Baillie Klass Tolkien and just two weeks ago was in Vancouver talking to Jocie MacNeil (Davidson). The kids on the street!! Richard, my thoughts and prayers are with you. So glad your family is near. Pam - Posted by: Pam Nelson Byrtus (Friend) on: Mar 30, 2025

To Richard and sons James & Craig and all the family, my condolences over the loss of dear Bev! I knew her as an Alum of SMA and worked with her on many committees. She gave support to SMA, St. Paul's High School, & St. Paul's College events. I was the same year at St. Mary's as Margot. Bev had a sparkle and always tried to look on the bright side of things. Her smile lit up a room and she was one of a kind. Now she is home with the Lord and is cheering you all on from her 'perch in paradise'. May each of you have the special graces you need at this sad time but remember the happy times! Sincerely, Chris (Keegan) Butterill - Posted by: Chris Butterill (friend) on: Mar 29, 2025

Dear Richard, Cec called me last Friday to give me this very sad news. Unfortunately, this is the first opportunity that I have had to drop you a note. We go back a long way, don’t we? I remember when you and Chuckles started first grade at St. Ignatius. You became such great buddies, even through to your adult years at Monk Goodwin. And Mum and Gracie…..they were the original ‘gal pals’! I see that you and Bev have two Grandboys - lots of fun, I expect. I have seven ‘Grands’ -one is a lawyer, practicing here in Calgary. I hope that your kids are close-by, to lend a hand, give a hug and offer encouragement as you work your way through these next few months. Life does get better as time goes by! I send you and your family my prayers, my love and lots of hugs during this difficult and very sad time. Judy Phelan Burrows - Posted by: Judy Phelan Burrows (Childhood friend) on: Mar 29, 2025

Dear Richard, Cec called me last Friday to give me this very sad news. This is the first opportunity that I have had to make contact with you. We go back a long way together, don’t we? I remember when you and Chuckles started school together at St. Ignatius. We were fairly close neighbors on Waverley Street, and Gracie and my Mum were the original ‘gal-pals’. And didn’t they have fun together! Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet Bev but I certainly have heard all about her over the years, especially about what a wonderful hostess and great gal she was, I hope that your kids are close-by, to give you support, love and encouragement as you all work through this difficult family sadness. From experience, I know well how difficult the days ahead will be but I also know that time eases all pain. I send all of you my love, my prayers and my deepest Sympathy as you mourn your dear Bev. Hugs, Judy Phelan Burrows. - Posted by: Judy Phelan Burrows (Family) on: Mar 28, 2025
