Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I worked with Angie in the 80's and we became very good friends. When we weren't working, we were hanging out or spending hours on the phone talking. She was the best friend I ever had. And even though we didn't talk often in recent years, it was like no time had passed. I am truly saddened by her loss but hope she is kicking up her heels in heaven. My sincere condolences to her loved ones. - Posted by: Toni (Friend) on: Aug 11, 2025

  • Just learned of Angie's passing, and I'm both shocked and saddened. I met her in Edmonton through my sister, to whom she was once very close. We all connected on Facebook several years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. She often made me laugh out loud, and she offered comforting, spiritual counselling of sorts when I was going through a very difficult time. My heart and warm thoughts go out to her loved ones. I hope you soon get to the point when you know she is out there whooping it up in the Universe. Here is a big twitch and a cross-eyed snort to you, Angie...💜 - Posted by: Lisa Jonasson-Meyer (Friend) on: Aug 11, 2025

  • Angela was a very special person. I met her in Winnipeg when I worked at Communications Services. (I now live in Toronto.) Angela was kind, funny, and understanding. She was a fantastic mentor and very sage in her wisdom regarding communications work and life in general. She helped me make a major transition in my life (moving into central government communications). She was a consummate professional, and taught me a lot about diplomacy and writing. She also had a fantastic sense of humor. I owe Angela a lot for the kindness and care she showed me. I saw her when I came back to Winnipeg to visit, and I regret not having a chance to tell her fully how much I appreciated her before she passed away. My Condolences are with her family and friends - Angela will be very much missed. In her honor, I made a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society, and I think of her fondly. - Posted by: Gabrielle Giroday (Former colleague) on: Apr 12, 2025
