Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHANIE ALEXANDRIA HRYNCHUK
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephanie Alexandria Hrynchuk, Steph to many, after a quick but fierce battle with lung cancer.
Mom leaves behind her two children, Darlene Mager-Smith (Adrian Smith), Steven Mager (Lee Polychuk) and Aunty to Christine Martel (Bryan Johnson). Her grandbabies were the light of her life, often calling them to say hello with a "hey grandbaby' when they answered. Tatianna Mager, Brooklyn Mager and Mason Mager will miss her more than words can say. Special friends to the family Kyle Oliferchuk, Rob MacKenzie, and best friend Jill Hourie will miss her dearly.
Steph raised us in Elmwood, as a single parent, she was a vocal member of the community and was known by everyone. Mom was very protective of her family and this carried over to everyone she loved.
Her memories will be cherished, her love will not be forgotten and her fiesty spirit will carry on through her children and grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., April 16, 2025, 1:00 p.m.
Love you MOTHER

I was shocked and so sorry for my last cousin and was shocked to see that Steffie passed away so soon. Not knowing anyone from the Hrynchuk family, I found her obit in the Free Press today. Steffie was my last cousin and we had good times with her when she visited me and my sister Maggie in Lac du Bonnet. Rest in Peace Cousin Steffie. Memories of Steph go back to a very, very young age and to Norwood, where we grew up. There, we were all busy learning how to make mischief, some of us were better at it. And there, we made friendships that would last a lifetime, refreshed where and whenever we met. Steph, in our hearts yesterday, today and tomorrow. - Posted by: Maria (DeVehr) Guenther & Henry DeVehr (Friends) on: Apr 12, 2025

To Darlene, Steve and Steph’s grandbabies, I want to begin by saying how deeply sorry I am for your loss—and how incredibly lucky I feel to have known someone as special as Steph. We worked together for several years and then remained friends. She wasn’t just a friend to me—she was a light. One of those rare people who come into your life and make it better just by being in it. Her laughter, her honesty, her beautiful heart—those things weren’t just comforting, they were powerful. She had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and she did that for me every single time we talked, every time we laughed, and the times when she was brutally honest about something we were sharing. To all of you—thank you. Thank you for sharing her and allowing her to be a part of my life. Her strength, her compassion, her spirit—they live on in every memory I hold dear. She made this world brighter, and that light doesn’t fade. It stays with us, in all the lives she changed—including mine. - Posted by: Simone Beaudet (friend) on: Apr 10, 2025
