Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAMELA DAWN PETERS
Pam was born March 4, 1971, at Women’s Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Norm and Judy Stevenson. She passed peacefully at Health Sciences Centre on April 3, 2025, after a brief illness. She lived her entire life in Winnipeg, attending Windsor School and Glenlawn Collegiate Institute. She trained as a recreation therapy assistant after high school and loved her geriatric clients.
Pam was predeceased by her mother, Judy, in 2014. She is survived by her father, Norm (Annette); sister Sherri (Dave); daughters, Dezirae (Greg) and Deanna; nephews, Ryan, Nathan and Quinn; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pam enjoyed the support of many lifelong childhood friends whose friendship she cherished throughout her life.
Pam’s greatest joy was her two beautiful daughters. The best description of Pam as a mother has been as a “tiny fierce bear”. This captures her perfectly.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date, details will be shared when available. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba would be greatly appreciated.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to Dezirae, Deanna, Norm, and the entire family on the passing of Pam. My heart broke to hear this news. Although Dezirae and I were friends many years ago and have since lost touch as life moved us in different directions, I have always cherished the memories we shared. Those moments, that time in my life, and the connection we had have never been forgotten, and hearing this news has brought so many of those memories back to the surface. I first met Dezirae through my Aunt Louise Bromley, who has been longtime friends with Norm and also worked alongside him at First Canada. Over the years, my aunt shared so many wonderful stories—stories filled with laughter, history, and meaningful connections. She even dated Norm’s cousin Dennis in her younger years, which added another layer to the many intertwined memories and relationships that always seemed to surround this family. There were truly so many great stories and fond memories shared. I first met Dezirae when Norm brought her out to my aunt’s cabin, a moment that still stands out clearly in my mind. That same summer, when Dezirae & I had more get together’s I had the chance to meet Pam. From the very beginning, she made a sweet impression on me. Pam was generous, funny, friendly, and genuinely kind. She had a way of making people feel welcome and comfortable, and her warmth was felt by everyone around her. What always stood out most to me was the love Pam had for Dezirae & Deanna. It was so clear how deeply she loved them and how strongly she wanted the very best for their lives and futures. She was a devoted mother, and that love shone through in everything she said and did. May you find comfort in the many beautiful memories you shared with Pam and in the love that continues to surround your family. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, her laughter, and the deep love she had for her family. - Posted by: Taylor Ewatski (Friend Of Dezirae’s) on: Dec 29, 2025

My heart sank when I read the news from my lifelong friend, Darlene’s FB page. I met Pam through Darlene. Of course, those two beautiful ladies were inseparable! To me, they were like sisters, twins even! ❤️ One of my fond memories I have is dragging those two ladies on the dance floor. They would look at each other and say, we’re not ready yet!! I’d be like, come on let’s go. We had some great times and she will be forever missed. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends. ❤️ - Posted by: Nicole Rice (Fillion) (Friend) on: Apr 16, 2025

As my heart breaks for losing my lifelong best friend for close to 50 years it breaks even more for the family for losing an Aunt, a Sister, a Daughter and a Mother. She loved her daughters and family with all her might "tiny fierce bear" The most she wanted out of life was to be a great Mom and she did accomplished that for sure! It's just so unfortunate and sad that her efforts to be such a great Mom ended way too soon. Always in my heart and thoughts my bestie - Posted by: Darlene Tresoor (Friend) on: Apr 15, 2025
