Surrounded by his family, Cameron Ryan Shaw passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 45 after sustaining injuries in a motor vehicle accident.
Cameron will be deeply missed by his loving mother, Shelly (Dean) McKay; his brothers, Calvin (Lisa), Christopher (Jenna) and Todd; and his nieces, Alyssa, Mya, Audrey, Elizabeth, Everleigh and nephews, Kurt and Garett. He is also survived by his grandmother, Thelma; his uncle Cary (Jenny), uncle Bruce (Cathy); aunts, Sandy and Shannon (Doug); uncle Al, as well as many cousins, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Bernie, and other cherished family members.
Cameron was a proud member of the Local 254 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and took great pride in his trade. He followed in his father’s footsteps, dedicating his career to the trade and mentoring those who came after him. Known for his hardworking nature and kind spirit, Cameron left a lasting impact on those he worked with and loved.
An avid Raiders fan, Cameron had a passion for football and could always be found cheering on his team. His love for sports and his family will always be remembered.
A celebration of Cameron’s life will be held on April 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at The Riverside Inn, 531 St. Mary’s Road lower level.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
Cameron’s legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
