CLIFFORD MORRISSEY

In His infinite wisdom, the LORD called Clifford Morrissey home on March 30, 2025.

While Cliff will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that he is spending eternity in the presence of the Almighty God. As Scripture assures us in 2 Corinthians 5:8, 'We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.' In that promise, we find strength and hope, trusting that one day we will be reunited with him in His glory.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Sorry for your loss. I recognized the name. My father, David Loewen, who has since passed spoke very fondly of Cliff. - Posted by: Pat Spence (nee Loewen) (my father worked on the police force with Cliff) on: May 05, 2025

  • I had the privilege of working with Cliff when we were at the Ft. Rouge station in the 1960’s. I saw him again when we were visiting the White Rock area. A few years ago. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Lud Domaratzki (Fellow police officer in) on: Apr 26, 2025

  • Cliff Morrissey began his career as a Winnipeg Police Constable at the young age of 20 years, and served with the Winnipeg Police Service for 27 years. After retirement, he served as Sergeant-At-Arms in the late 1980’s, in the Manitoba Legislature during the Government of Gary Filmon. Cliff and his dear wife Evelyn celebrated 61 years of marriage last November 16th. My wife Mary and I have been close friends of Cliff and Evelyn for 38 years since we retired and moved our families from Winnipeg to B.C. We shared many adventures together exploring the West Coast of Canada and the U.S. along with our dear friends and retired police veterans over those years. A highlight being the annual Winnipeg Police West Coast Reunions where we enjoyed being in the company of women and men we shared our careers with. For many years, Cliff and I walked the White Rock Promenade and Pier in the early morning, and enjoyed good coffee and conversation with dear people afterward. Cliff’s cheerful attitude, sense of humor and bold character will be unforgettable to those who knew him. - Posted by: R. G. 'Dick Hickling (Friend and Police Comrade) on: Apr 20, 2025
