It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wladyslawa Silka on Tuesday April 15, 2025, beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Wladyslawa is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Jozef; daughter Renata (Greg); and grandchildren, Ashley and Alyssa. She will also be fondly remembered by friends and extended family, especially Ela and Ewa. She was predeceased by her parents, Wladyslaw and Stefania; brothers, Czeslaw, Aleksander, and Mieczyslaw; and nephew Marek and his wife Basia.
Born in Glogów Malopolski, Poland, Wladyslawa and Jozef immigrated to Winnipeg in 1963. Together they built a life grounded in love, hard work and faith. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, kind heart and deep devotion to her family and community.
A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday April 23, 2025, at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street, Winnipeg.
