With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Auntie, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend, Clarice Moneyas Thickfoot, better known as Tiny, on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Pine Falls Hospital.
Her parents predeceased Tiny, Peter and Marjory Moneas and son Brian Thickfoot Jr. She leaves to mourn husband Brian Thickfoot, daughters, Alicia Moneyas (Terrance Bird), Dephne Choken, adopted son Devon Bushie, her grandchildren, great-grandchild, sister Wilma Choken Bird, brothers, Edgar Bird (Lena), Harley Moneyas, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tiny was a loving, caring and outgoing woman always wanting to joke around and greet you with a smile. She worked at Moppa’s Store for 17 years, where everyone there became family. Thank you, Luke and Linda, for everything you have done for Mom.
Services will be at the Black River Band Hall starting Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Elie Bushie, Devon Bushie, Vernon Cook, Wyatt Kent, Farley Bird Jr. and Keanu Simard. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren and Moppa’s Staff. Reverend Richard Bruyere Officiating.
