Leonard, 93, of Riverton, MB passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Gimli Community Health Centre (CHC). Leonard was born June 2, 1931, at Akri (Homestead south of Riverton).
Leonard is survived by his sons, Wesley (Holly) and Ronnie (Carol); grandchildren, Nicholas, Michaela, Courtney (Greg), Damon and Brendan; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Liam. Leonard is also survived by his brothers, Melvin (Angela) Johnson and Don (Fran) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Barb Johnson and Eleanar Egesz; and brother-in-law Raymond Magnusson.
Leonard was predeceased by his wife Margaret; parents, Einar and Capitola Johnson; brothers, Laurence (Edie) Johnson and Cliff Johnson; sisters, Elma (Charlie) Cheyne and Arlene (Brian) Robins. Leonard was also predeceased by his in-laws, Paula and Elizabeth Egesz, Andrew Egesz, Paul Egesz, Mary Magnusson and Matilda (Kenny) Thorsteinson.
A special thanks to his home care staff and Gimli CHC staff until his passing.
As per Leonard's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
